Render Queue
Reorder Jobs in the Render Queue
Change the render order in RenderGod by dragging job cards up or down with the mouse, touch or keyboard, so the most urgent render runs first.
Reorder jobs in the render queue to control which render runs first. RenderGod always renders the first queued job from the top, so moving a card up moves it forward in line.
Drag a job with the mouse
- Press on an empty area of the job card.
- Move the mouse a little. The card lifts and floats above the list.
- Drop it in the new position. The other cards slide to make room.
Grabbing a card also selects it. On a touch screen, press and hold the card for a moment before dragging.
Move a job with the keyboard
- Press Tab until the card's drag handle has focus.
- Press Space to lift the card.
- Use the Up and Down arrow keys to move it.
- Press Space to drop it, or Esc to cancel.
Good to know
- You can reorder while the queue is running. The new order applies from the next job.
- Finished, failed and skipped jobs are passed over wherever they are, so you do not need to move them out of the way.
- If new jobs arrive while you are dragging, for example from the Blender add-on, they are added at the end and a message tells you how many arrived. Drag them where you want them.
- If the new order cannot be saved, the queue shows "Failed to update job order. Refreshing queue..." and returns to the saved order.
